Biography:
Dr. Goff received his Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University in 1992. Following graduation, he moved to Crested Butte, Colorado, where he worked as professional ski instructor. He then traveled to South Africa where he taught high school mathematics and athletics in Johannesburg. It was during his time in South Africa that he decided to become a physician. He returned to school and after two years of research in the department of Neurosurgery at Georgetown University, he matriculated to the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He earned his M.D. in 2001.
During his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Virginia, he was selected to be the Harvard Intercontinental Shoulder Fellow. During his fellowship he spent six months in Boston under the mentorship of Dr. Jon JP Warner at Massachusetts General Hospital and Dr. Laurence Higgins at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. The second half of the fellowship was spent in Switzerland at University Zurich, Balgrist, with Dr. Christian Gerber.
Dr. Goff has a profound interest and advanced knowledge in all aspects of shoulder surgery. His training and interest focus on the entire spectrum of pathologies and major reconstruction of the shoulder including total shoulder replacement, shoulder arthrodesis, rotator cuff surgery, and arthroscopic surgery.
